Before the year ended, Michael shared to me one of his learnings on the book he was reading. He shared that for next year we can try setting goals and instead of making grand plans to achieve it, he suggested we do one thing everyday that will help us reach our goals. Sounds simple noh? I’m really proud of how my husband became more mature than me over the years. Naks!
So here we are, on the road to achieve our most important goal for the year: get fit and healthy! This has been long overdue – we have putting this off for quite sometime, but now we can’t do that anymore! We shouldn’t!
I have really been meaning to find a way to move more last year but it was very difficult with our schedules and two very clingy kids. I do some yoga at home (but not very good at it!) and jog early in the morning when the little one is still asleep but I wasn’t consistent. So this year I committed to work out more, on a regular schedule – and I need to stick with it because, well, I paid for it already!
I enrolled at Anytime Fitness in Eastwood – and they gave me a very good deal! The rate they gave me was lower than what I paid for 7 years ago at Fitness First. I also took advantage of their discount on personal trainer sessions for new members, so I will have my own trainer. My plan is to commit to one regular session with the coach per week – ánd since my schedule is quite erratic, I will just schedule at least 2 more work out days on my own. I hope this will work for me!
Since I have not really had the chance to work out yet at the gym, I cannot really provide a good review yet. As soon as I start my trainings, I will try to blog about it and give feedback!
Here’s to a healthier 2018!
Happy New Year,
