Last November we celebrated Mikaela’s first birthday. We wanted it to be special and memorable for our kids so we decided to have our party at Kidzooona. Our girls love playing at Kidzooona since this play place houses toys and activities for both little toddlers and bigger kids. Mia loves jumping at the bouncy slide (Kidzooona’s version of the bouncy castle) while the little one, Mika, likes to play on the ball pit. It was not a very hard decision for us to hold Mika’s party here instead of having it in an events venue and hiring kid’s entertainment like we did for Mia’s party.
We booked a supplier to decorate the place with balloons
Our guests were treated to dessert: make your own sundae
We had Princess Anna in our party – she hosted the games and even had a sing-along with the kids
There was a photobooth for our guests’ keepsake. Our trusted photographer Blue Events also had photobooth services, they use a green screen (hi-tech) for the background.
Mika’s beautiful cake and yummy cakes were from our Moon Cupcakes and Cakes
We opted to have the whole venue closed down for our party because we did not want the place to be too crowded. Kidzooona, on weekends, tends to be full so it was a good decision to spend a little more just to make sure our families and friends will have a great time! The playground in itself is big, but the party room was not. The staff that we spoke with when we booked the place told me that the room can accommodate 100 people but during the party it didn’t really look like it. The tables were a bit too cramped, but good thing our guests were all cool with it. We initially asked if we could put tables outside so that our guests can eat comfortably, but the management declined. Our account executive from our caterer, The Creamery, told me in hindsight that I should’ve booked Kidzooona at Shangri-La because they allow to extend the party area when the venue is closed down for the party. Something to consider on our next celebration!
The kids had so much fun in the play area!

Have a good Friday, everyone!
