When I was pregnant with my first child, Mia, I would always be in a shopping frenzy. I still worked in BGC then, and our office was within walking distance to High Street’s Mothercare and a few minutes drive to SM Aura – so you could just imagine how much stuff I bought even before our little princess was born.
Most first-time moms could relate and would admit that over-shopping is their first parenting mistake. I cannot blame them, it’s hard not to give in when a plethora of baby items will be offered to you once you step into one of those abyss… I mean, shops. So even with my best friend’s and mother’s sound advice, I still walked in to those brightly-lit shops, with the intent to “just look” but eventually come out with a shopping bag (or two, maybe three)
Majority of the items that we bought, we got to use, some more than the others – and looking back at all the purchases I made, I picked the top 5 items that I think were really worth buying. These items might be a bit pricey compared to alternatives, but these purcahses returned back the investment that we made.
